Playing osu!lazer on a private server

somtum.fun is a free osu! private server with full lazer support, open to players worldwide. You play lazer here with TumThai, our version of osu!lazer, and your lazer scores share one leaderboard with osu!(stable) and the old 2008-2015 clients.

What works

  • Ranked play and pp: lazer plays get pp from osu!'s own score processor, as on osu.ppy.sh. See Performance points.
  • Multiplayer, spectating and chat, with every somtum.fun player, whichever client they use.
  • Replays, on score pages and in the game.
  • Relax and Autopilot, with their own pp and rankings. See Relax and Autopilot.
  • Custom rulesets such as Sentakki, Tau and Rush!, with their own leaderboards. See Custom rulesets.
  • Daily challenge rooms. See Daily challenge.

Getting started

  1. Download TumThai from the download page: Windows, Linux, macOS and Android. On Windows, the Somtum Launcher installs and starts it for you.
  2. Start TumThai and make your account in the game, or sign in if you already play here.
  3. Play. TumThai updates itself when there's a new version.

Already play osu!lazer? TumThai can use your lazer beatmaps, skins and replays: see bringing your osu!lazer beatmaps and replays. From osu!(stable), see Upgrading to lazer.

Why TumThai and not osu!lazer itself?

osu!lazer only connects to osu.ppy.sh. TumThai is the same game, set up to connect to somtum.fun, and our anti-cheat trusts it, so its scores are submitted. You can connect another lazer client (see Connecting with another lazer client), but its scores aren't submitted.

TumThai has two streams: TumThai, and TumThai!Next, a faster, experimental stream for players who want the newest performance options first. Switch in Settings → General → Updates.
